The marketing department of Dickerson & Quinn, under the direction of the Marketing Manager, works closely with the sales team in order to develop fully integrated marketing and promotional strategies. These plans are tailored to fit the individual characteristics of each region within the overall sales territory.
The marketing department acts on behalf of the manufacturer as a fully functioning in-house advertising agency. Support activities include:
- New product launch campaigns
- Scheduling in-store demonstrations and sampling events
- Staging community-wide marketing events
- Creating and producing original artwork and advertising initiatives
- Development of locally produced multimedia commercials
- Negotiation of media contracts
Dickerson & Quinn believes that marketing is a joint effort between distributor and principal to be successful. All plans, activities and media materials are prepared under the guidance and with the approval of the manufacturer. Detailed marketing budgets are prepared annually with each manufacturer and are renewed monthly to insure costs stay within budget and marketing objectives are met.
